Love it or hate it, the fee-based business model appears to be here to stay for airlines. But the hotel business is a different story. Airlines, as even casual fliers are well aware, have been piling on fees for years.

I've always thought that the hotel business is about "hospitality" and hidden fees and extra charges are not examples of hospitality. If the airline industry can do it, fine. They have traded customer service for nickel and diming a long time ago. #revenuemanagement
